How to Type the Congruent Symbol

Mathematical unity refers to the similarity of shape and size and is used to describe angles, shapes, and line segments. A fixed symbol is an equals sign with a tilde ≅ above it, and once you can determine consistency, it’s easy to use the symbol basically correctly. In practice, however, the biggest problem is creating a symbol in a word processor or online. Fortunately, you can use several different methods to create a unified character in word processors and other environments, such as LaTex or KaTex, and they are easy to learn.

Copying and Pasting

The easiest way to use a consistent symbol is to copy it from another source that uses the symbol and paste it where it is needed. Highlight the symbol ≅, copy it by pressing CTRL and C at the same time, then go to the point where you want to use the symbol, and press CTRL and V at the same time to paste it. This method is effortless and works in almost any program or environment, but other methods are more effective if you do not have an example of a consistent symbol.

Microsoft Word or Google Docs

Microsoft Word is one of the most common word processing programs in the world. Word versions have a built-in Symbols feature that makes it easier to type a compatible symbol. Click the Add tab and click the drop-down arrow below the icon. Click Add Symbols to open the Add Symbols dialog box.

Use the drop-down menu next to the subset and select Mathematical Operators. Find the symbol grid for the corresponding symbol and right-click on it to highlight it. Click Insert to place it at the document cursor. You can always copy or cut a symbol and move it to another location if the cursor is not in the correct position when you open the window.

The process is even simpler in Office 365 Word. Click Add from Tape and select Equation. Select a consistent symbol from the ribbon icon grid to attach it to the document.

If you’re using Google Docs, click Add at the top of the screen and select Special Characters from the drop-down menu. In the window that opens, type about the same as in the search box. Click the search results icon to attach it to the document. It is worth noting that in both Google Docs and Microsoft Word, the symbol is called “approximately equal”.

Congruent Sign Alt Code

Alt tags are another way to create symbols in most word processors and email programs. You can use them as long as you have a keyboard with a numeric keypad partition, and you must make sure Num Lock is turned on before you try this method. To turn it on, press the Num Lock key so that the light turns on.

To create a single symbol, hold down the Alt key as you type code 8773. While remembering a particular code may not be the ideal solution, it is often much easier to use the alt code method than to navigate to a symbol using the previous section. It also works on multiple platforms, which is useful if you are likely to need to write it in more than one program.

In LaTex or KaTex

The LaTex language is excellent for displaying math, so there is a simple way to write a compatible symbol in LaTex and KaTex. Type \ Cong in the LaTex or KaTex field to get a consistent character. You can also create an incompatible character using \ song in LaTex or latex.
